self portrait- appearance in disappearance

In each photograph I am pictured in different forms. It is to analyze that the self might be destructible, convertible.  My image reflected on the mirror changes in respect to the relationship I have with the people above.

the first apartment I stayed at when I moved to barcelona

The entrance door providing a means of access and escape at the same time. In every one of them, a balloon is popped to point out the sequence of time. It is to emphasize throughout the first five months, how my thoughts revealed, in some way disappeared.

Depersonalization disorder (DPD) is a dissociative disorder in which the sufferer is affected by persistent or recurrent feelings of depersonalization and/or derealization. The symptoms include a sense of automation, going through the motions of life but not experiencing it, feeling as though one is in a movie, feeling as though one is in a dream, feeling a disconnection from one's body; out-of-body experience, a detachment from one's body, environment and difficulty relating oneself to reality.

I have to choose what I detest- either dreaming, which my intelligence hates, or action,
which my sensibility loathes; either action, for which I wasn't born, or dreaming, for which no one was born. Detesting both, I choose neither; but since I must on occasion either dream or act, I mix the two things together.

this piece is about dreams. each time you open a drawer, you are pulling another, this is to express the connection between different channels.

each time you dream, memories arose
each drawer you pull, it pulls an other
but if you just look over, it is just a cupboard
